Calling all Brunch lovers! We have some egg-citing news to share with you all. At BEAR, we are always on the lookout for the finest quality ingredients, and we've just added an absolute superstar to our menus - Cacklebean eggs!
These delicious eggs come from hens that are raised with love and care at Cackleberry Farm, nestled at the foot of a hill just outside Stow-on-the-Wold, Cheltenham. Raised and cared for by Patrick and Steph Bourns, their rare breed flocks of the Arlington White are entirely free range and live in traditional chicken houses - free to roam and forage on the farm across 12 acres of land.
The iconic golden yolks are a testament to the hens' healthy and happy lifestyle - their commitment to sustainable and ethical farming practices is truly inspiring and something we value deeply at BEAR. We’re super proud to support their mission by using their eggs in our dishes across our stores.

"At BEAR, our recent menu change focuses on elevating and refining the dishes everyone knows and loves us for. We believe that the quality of our ingredients is a crucial component of achieving this goal, and that's why we've chosen to use Cacklebean eggs. These eggs come from high welfare chickens and the result is an incredible dark orange yolk and firm whites, which are perfect for poaching. These eggs are truly exceptional - they're essentially the Rolls Royce of eggs and elevate our dishes to the next level. Using Cacklebean eggs allows us to create dishes with even more depth of flavour and visual appeal. It's an honour to be able to work with such incredible ingredients and suppliers."
